James M. Gordon, who writes under the name JM Gordon, was born and raised in the historic town of Natchez, Mississippi. The youngest of four children, he grew up in a close-knit family—his father a dedicated factory worker and his mother a nurturing homemaker. From an early age, James was drawn to storytelling, often weaving vivid tales inspired by the rich culture and layered history of the American South.
